Indian air pistol team consisting of Manu Bhaker, Yashaswini Singh Deswal and Rahi Sarnobat secured the bronze medal on June 25 after defeating the Hungarian team of Veronika Major, Miriam Jako and Sara Rahel Fabian in the ISSF world cup air pistol women's match.
On the other hand, the women's 10m air rifle team of Anjum Moudgil, Apurvi Chandela and Elavenil Valarivan finished on the 11th rank in the qualification round with a performance of a total of 1867.7, according to a report.
While India was off to a modest start at the world event, the shooter's trio failed to reach the final of the women's 10m air rifle event on Thursday.
On an opening day, Saurabh Chaudhary, who is a 19-year-old athlete, was the lone Indian medallist. He picked a bronze medal in the men's 10m air pistol event.
The event is the Indian shooting team's final competitive outing before the Tokyo Olympics.
Manu Bhaker
Bhaker, being the youngest Indian to win a gold medal at the ISSF World Cup, won two gold medals at 2018 ISSF and a gold medal in women's 10 m air pistol event at the 2018 Commonwealth Games at the age of 16 in her maiden Commonwealth Games appearance.
Yashaswini Singh Deswal
The 24-year-old Indian sport shooter is a one-time receiver of the gold medal in the 10-metre air pistol event at the 2019 ISSF World Cup and also held her position for India at the 2020 Summer Olympics under quota.
She also won two silver medals in both the individual event and the team event in Suhl, Germany, and gold in the 2016 ISSF Junior World Cup.
Rahi Sarnobat
Generally competing in the 25 meters pistol shooting event, the 30-year-old athlete won her first gold medal at the 2008 Commonwealth Youth Games in Pune, India. She holds the notable title of being the first woman to win a gold medal in shooting in an Asian Games for India after winning the gold at the 2018 Jakarta Palembang Asian Games in the women's 25-meter pistol event.
