Manipur's Kuki Women Protest In Front Of Amit Shah's Home: 8 Things To Know
Women from the Kuki tribe of Manipur demonstrated outside the house of Union Home Minister Amit Shah in New Delhi on Wednesday. The demonstration took place a day after members of the Meitei community staged a vigil in Imphal, holding banners and making calls to cease the ethnic violence in the state.

One Kuki protester told NDTV that only the Shah and Prime Minister Narendra Modi could assist them. The protestor said that while politicians promised that peace would be restored, however, violence persisted throughout Manipur and lives are at risk.

The protest was held in response to yesterday night's vigil held in Manipur by Meitei community members, who formed a human chain. They also shouted demands for action against Kuki rebel organisations in the form of slogans.
