Actor Mandira Bedi performs special puja at home with her two children. It's been a month since she lost her husband, filmmaker Raj Kaushal, in a cardiac arrest. To remember him, the actor conducted a small puja at her home and shared a glimpse on social media on Friday. Her children, son Vir and daughter Tara, also joined her in the rituals.
On Instagram Stories on Friday, Bedi has shared a photo with her children as the family sat down for puja rituals in memory of the late Raj Kaushal. She wrote the hashtag "30th day" along with a folded hands emoji. In the photo, five-year-old Tara can be seen sitting next to her mother, looking at the flames in the hawan kund. Vir, now 10, adds ghee to the holy flames with his mother.
Kaushal, who had made several notable films, including Onir’s 2005 movie My Brother… Nikhil…, died on June 30 after suffering a heart attack. He was just 49. Just yesterday, on July 29, the television and films actor celebrated daughter Tara's first birthday at home. She turned five this year.
Even though Bedi is still grieving the loss of her husband, she made sure Tara's first birthday at home is celebrated with balloons and family members. She shared a picture of herself, posing next to Tara with the caption: "My little girl wasn't denied her first birthday celebration in our home." In another Story, Vir was seen smiling for the camera as he wrapped fairy lights around him. Earlier, she also wrote a handwritten note to herself on Instagram writing, “I am worthy, I am capable, I am loved, I am strong.” Recently, on her 23rd wedding anniversary, Bedi took to Instagram and posted a string of throwback images with her husband. The Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge actor had also shared a post in which she said she is grateful to have her family standing by her after the tragedy.
