Man Stabs Self After Killing Woman In Greater Noida

A man stabbed an 18-year-old to death at a Greater Noida mall recently. When he found himself cornered, he stabbed himself too, according to police and witnesses, reported HT.

The victim, Khushboo, was assaulted inside the Greater Noida’s Jagat Farm market, which is also her place of work, by the accused, Kuldeep. The incident took place around 11.30 am. The police outpost is about 100 metres away from the place of the incident.

What happened?

In a report by HT, Shalendra Pratap Singh, station house officer of the Kasna Police station, said, “Kuldeep arrived in front of the shop and asked the woman to talk to him. Khushboo headed towards the first floor of AK Plaza along with the accused. The CCTV footage shows that Khushboo tried to free her hand from Kuldeep’s grasp and head towards the washroom. Kuldeep then attacked her with a knife and later stabbed himself.”

Surendra Kumar, working in a shop at the plaza, stated, “When he attacked the woman, she started screaming for help and we came out of from our shops. Kuldeep then started running towards the ground floor to escape. We tried to stop him but he threatened everybody with the knife. Meanwhile, police were informed and in the next 5-10 minutes, two officers arrived at the plaza. After seeing the cops, Kuldeep went back to the spot where the girl was lying and stabbed himself.”

Both of them were then rushed to the nearby Kailash Hospital by the police in an auto. While Khushboo couldn't survive, Kuldeep is battling for life.

The Background

Khusbhoo was from Muradabad. She used to stay with her family in Nadarganj Mohalla, Dadri. Her relatives claim that she was being stalked by Kuldeep since the past two-three months.

Her mother, Anita Devi revealed that they even went to Kuldeep's house to inform his parents and warn them that a police complaint would be filed if he continued to harass her.

Khushboo's employer Rajeshwar Dayal, owner of Buggon Supermarket, was completely unaware that she being stalked.

Aashish Shrivastava, superintendent of police, said, "We have come to know that the accused used to harass her through phone calls.”

Kuldeep has been booked for murder. A complaint under Section 302 of the IPC has been filed against him.
