A disturbing case has come to light in Muzaffarnagar, where a 50-year-old man reportedly raped a differently-abled girl in his neighbourhood for months and impregnated her, police said. This case took place in Wajidpur village of Jansath tehsil of Muzaffarnagar. The accused, identified as Rajpal Saini, repeatedly raped the 15-year-old girl over a span of a few months that got her seven months pregnant.
Station House Officer (SHO), Yogesh Sharma told media that Saini has been apprehended. The family of the girl found out about the repeated rapes only after they discovered that she was pregnant and now the survivor has been taken for medical examination. Wajidpur village people have protested against the shocking incident and are asking for strict action against the accused.

In a similarly horrifying incident, a man repeatedly raped his female teenage neighbour girl for months until he reportedly gave her an abortion pill which led to her death. The incident happened in Kannauj district of Uttar Pradesh and it came to light in July.
Chhibramau Kotwali inspector Balram Mishra was quoted saying by local media that the man misleadingly took the girl out to Kamalganj area in Kannauj and forced an abortion pill in her mouth. After having the pill, her health started to deteriorate and soon she died. Seeing the girl die, the accused panicked and ran away from Kamalganj, said the police. Residents of Kamalganj crossing found the girl’s body and they informed her parents about it.
The girl’s body was sent for post mortem at the beginning of July. The police have filed charges against the accused and three of his family members under Section 313 (forcible abortion) and Section 314 (death caused by act done with intent to cause miscarriage) of the Indian Penal Code. However, they haven’t been able to arrest them yet.
Another incident happened in Karnataka in July where five men allegedly raped a minor Dalit girl multiple times which led to her becoming pregnant. The accused, identified as Ganesh Naik, 28, Krishnappa, 38, Pavan, Punith and auto driver Dhanush, 23, are residents of Vittal in Karnmatak. The police have booked them under POCSO Act, SC/ST Atrocity Act, IPC 376, 506 and others of the IPC.

The main accused in this case is allegedly Ganesh, who is also the girl’s cousin. He took her to Subrahmanya and booked a lodge for two days in December last year where he allegedly raped her, said the survivor in her statement. Krishnappa, who was also known to the victim, raped her when she was alone at her home in February, she added. Punith, who is known to the girl from her schooldays had taken her to Subrahmanya Temple where he raped her in a lodge, police said.
The survivor found out in January that she was pregnant which is when she told the accused about it. He, in turn, threatened to kill her. The police have nabbed three accused persons while two are still on the run.
