Man’s Presence At G7 Gender Equality Meet Highlights Need For Male Allies

The recent G7 gender equality ministers' meeting in Nikko, Japan, made headlines not only for its reaffirmations to support women executives and enhance female representation in managerial roles but also for an unusual participant in the convention.

Masanobu Ogura, a Japanese political figure, stood out as the sole male delegate, sparking curiosity and prompting discussions on the importance of male allies in the pursuit of gender equality.

When asked about his unique position, Ogura emphasised the continued necessity for men to champion gender equality with unwavering passion.
