Man hits woman over selfie: A CCTV footage reportedly revealed a group of men physically assaulting a woman after forcefully barging into her house on September 5 in Manacaud, a coastal town in Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala. The first accused was arrested by the Poonthura police on September 6.

According to the CCTV footage, the prime accused, identified as NS Mansilil Sudheer, threw open the gates of the survivor's house along with a couple of men. The woman seemingly raised her hand in a gesture to talk when one of the men hit her.
The woman was also dragged to a wall while others continued to hit her. The disturbing visuals from the incident of Sunday morning were recorded on a CCTV camera installed outside the house in Manacaud, Thiruvananthapuram.
The prime accused is reported to be 37-years-old.A case was registered against him by the police. On the other, hand, the survivor, identified as Amina, was reported to be 23-year-old.
Thiruvananthapuram city police commissioner Balram Kumar Upadhya stated that Sudheer has been arrested in the case, following the registration of the complaint.
Sudheer alleged that people staying on rent in Amina's house were creating noise. He, along with another man identified as Naushad raised arguments over the tenants taking their selfies in their compound and added that it should not be allowed, as per a report.
The police added that the lower floor of Amina's house was rented to workers of a nearby electric shop.
Soon after the visuals emerged, Sudheer allegedly fled the place. However, the Poonthura police nabbed him on Monday. Naushad, the other accused in the case who is also reported to be Sudheer's brother, and runs a hotel in Attankkulangara, is still absconding.
