Madhya Pradesh's Naya village's Sonu who goes under the stage name Sonia is a professional theatre actor who played the female roles, dressed himself in a saree to teach his sister's harassers a lesson.

To avenge her sister, he met with Mitthu Lal Bhil, who was accused of harassing Sonu's sister, and got on his bike. The duo got drunk and lost the way. Nevertheless, Sonu's plan was interrupted by the villagers who thought them to be thieves.

The local police soon arrived at the location, however, Bhil managed to escape, according to a report by India Today.

Initially, the investigating police who reached upon the call of the villagers thought Sonu to be a woman, judging by his appearance. They later learnt that he was dressed in women's attire to deceive the other passenger of the bike and teach him a lesson for harassing her sister.

As revealed by Sonu during the police interrogation, he was able to pull off the woman's character at ease as he played a woman's role in the local village theatre. Hence, it was easy for him to dress as a woman and no one could easily doubt him.

The local police were able to get a hold of the harasser after an hour-long search. Reportedly, he had been hiding around a bush all the time.

In another recent incident reported from Delhi, a gym trainer harassed and stalked over a hundred women online on Facebook and other social media platforms. Allegedly, the accused sent out obscene messages and videos to women.

Identified as Vikas Kumar, the police lodged a complaint against him after one of the survivors reported the incident to them.

Additional DCP (Southwest) Amit Goel said, "He would also make video calls to these women and flash them,” adding that Kumar had been harassing the complainant for months.
