As per the reports, the man was identified as Angrez Singh. He was appearing for the multi-purpose health workers examination of Baba Farid University of Health Sciences, at DAV Public School in Kotkapura on January 7. Dr Rajeev Sud, Vice-Chancellor of Baba Farid University of Health Sciences told India Today that he impersonated a girl named Paramjeet Kaur, a resident of Fazilka. As per other reports, Paramjeet Kaur was Singh's girlfriend

How was the man caught?

However, using the biometric devices, the man got caught and a complaint was registered against him by the university administration. The university also cancelled the application of the original girl, Paramjeet. It even was suspicious that a larger network was involved in this forgery

Another similar incident

In August 2021, a similar case was reported. A 22-year-old Senegalese man was caught dressed up as a girl for national-level examinations. He too tried to dupe the supervisors by impersonating his girlfriend who was sitting and waiting for him at her hostel. He was dressed up in a red dress with black patterns, a black shawl and a veil. The invigilators and supervisors noticed that something was icky and caught him on the third day of the examination. The man was arrested and the girl was also picked up and charged for exam fraud.
