TMC Manifesto: Ahead of the West Bengal Election, Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee released the election manifesto for the Trinamool Congress.
The focus areas of the manifesto are divided into ten “ongikars” (promises) which the Chief Minister also shared on social media. TMC president Mamata Banerjee took to Twitter to share the 10 ‘Ongikars’ which she believes will “build a stronger & more prosperous Bengal”.
“The aim is just one, to sustain Bengal as one of the leading states in the country”, she mentioned.

"This is not a political manifesto, it is a development-oriented manifesto. This a manifesto of the people, for the people, and by the people," Banerjee said while releasing the TMC manifesto on Wednesday.
What the TMC manifesto has for women in Bengal?
One of the highlights concentrates on a scheme that would benefit the female heads of the family in Bengal.
Under the social justice and security sub-head in the manifesto, the party pledges monthly income support to female heads of family across 1.6 crore households, at a rate of ₹ 500 (yearly 6000) to general category families and ₹ 1000 (yearly 12,000) to SC/ST families.
“For the first time, female heads of 1.6 Cr households will benefit from a monthly Basic Income Support scheme, students will be able to take loans up to ₹10 Lakh using Student Credit Card at 4% interest rate only”, read the tweet shared by Banerjee.

In addition, Banerjee promised her government would provide free door-to-door ration delivery for economically marginalised sections of society.
Under the same strategy, Food for all, the Chief Minister promised that ₹ 75 crores subsidised will be distributed across 50 cities at the cost of Rs. 5 per meal.
The TMC manifesto focuses on these particular areas for the 2021 Assembly elections- economy, social justice and security, youth, food for all, farming and agriculture, industries, health, education, housing, and electricity, roads, water.
