ICJ’s Verdict on The Myanmar Rohingyas
UN's top court demanded the nation takes "provisional measures". Judge Abdulqawi Ahmed Yusuf, the court's leader said that ''the ICJ is of the opinion that the Rohingya in Myanmar remain extremely vulnerable.”
ICJ has ordered Myanmar to “take effective measures to prevent the destruction and ensure the preservation of evidence related” to its acts against the minority.
As per reports, the African state of Gambia is acting on behalf of the 57-nation Organisation of Islamic Corporation asked the court to halt the "ongoing genocidal actions".

She has represented clients in the International Criminal Court, the International Court of Justice and the European Court of Human Rights. She is ranked as one of the top lawyers in the UK in the cases of international human rights and international criminal law. She is married to the Hollywood actor George Clooney.
Prior, Amal served as a senior advisor to Kofi Annan when he was the UN’s representative on Syria. She was recently appointed to the UK Attorney General’s expert panel to represent cases involving public international law.
