Maharashtra rape case: In yet another case of harrowing sexual crimes against children, a minor girl died by suicide in Daryapur area of Amravati district in Maharashtra.
The police said that she allegedly raped multiple times by a man and was also impregnated.
Sub Inspector Dilip Patil told ANI, "We received a complaint that a man repeatedly raped her. She became pregnant&later hanged herself to death. Accused arrested&case registered. Court sent accused to police remand till 15 Sept."

The rate of sexual crimes against children especially little girls has been on the rise. A 6-year-old was reportedly raped and then killed by her neighbour in Saidabad area on Hyderabad on Thursday. The girl had reportedly gone missing on Thursday morning so her parents filed a police complaint. By evening the girl's body was found in her neighbour's house.
The accused man identified as 30-year-old Raju had fled the scene. The police have launched a team to arrest him. When the police tried to take the girl's body to Osmania Hospital, they were obstructed by the locals and student organisations who staged a protest. They demanded strict action against the accused at the earliest. As per reports, the police promised the locals that the accused will be brought to justice within a month.
In Mumbai itself another case of brutal assault came to light on September 11. A 32-year-old woman was allegedly raped by a man near Saki Naka area. The woman reportedly stabbed by a rod inside her private parts. While undergoing treatment in a hospital in Ghatkopar, the woman died on Saturday. The accused man has been identified by the police and has been sent to police custody till September 21. The Chief Minister of Maharashtra has said that the case will be taken on fast track and the investigation in the case will be sped up. Read more.
