Madras HC Restrains Bhavninder Singh From Posting Pictures With Amala Paul

The Madras High Court has restrained Amala Paul's estranged fiance, musician Bhavninder Singh, from sharing the pictures of the two together in the public domain. Paul filed a defamation case earlier this month against her Singh after their pictures together created a buzz on the internet.

Earlier this year, it was speculated that the pictures Singh had shared on Instagram were from a privately held secret wedding ceremony in March this year. Pictures of the two found its way online and went viral in no time.

According to sources close to Paul, Singh and Amala reportedly parted ways post their engagement. Moreover, Paul also alleged that Singh was threatening to leak some of their pictures together on the public domain.

According to a few reports, Paul said that the pictures were taken for some professional work and the singer misused it. Another source reported that Paul moved the court saying that the pictures were taken during their engagement but were misrepresented as that of their wedding.

Paul asked the High Court for a stay on using the pictures and had sought permission to sue Bhavninder Singh. The court then granted leave to Amala Paul to file a defamation suit against Singh for uploading pictures of their engagement on social media and misrepresenting it.

Amala was previously married to AL Vijay. The two parted ways within two years of their marriage. Paul was last seen in the film Aadai. She is currently awaiting the release of Tamil films Adho Andha Paravai Pola and Cadavre and the Malayalam film Aadujeevitham. Paul is also part of the Telugu remake of the Hindi anthology Lust Stories.
