Man And Girlfriend Booked For Abatement Of Suicide Of His Wife

Man Booked For Abatement of Suicide: The police have booked her a man and his girlfriend on charges of alleged abetment of suicide of his late wife. The man allegedly created multiple accounts of his wife on Facebook with the help of his girlfriend, as per reports.

The father of the deceased woman, who lives in the Kharadi area in Pune, has registered the First Information Report (FIR) at the police station in Yerwada on Wednesday. The two accused included the deceased woman's husband and his girlfriend in the FIR under sections 306,323,504,34 of the Indian Penal Code and sections of the Information Technology Act (IT) Act.

As per the reports, the complainant accused that the man and his girlfriend were indulged in a conspiracy to defame the deceased woman's name by making multiple fake accounts in her name. They are also accused of posting objectionable comments on Facebook accounts of her family members.

The woman's father in his FIR said that his son-in-law used to harass her daughter mentally and physically, due to which she ended her life on September 17th, 2020 by hanging herself.

Inspector Vijaysingh Chauhan, the investigating officer stated that the deceased woman's father has filed an FIR against the husband and his girlfriend and that they are actively investigating the case.

The officer said, “An FIR has been lodged against the woman’s husband and his friend. Further investigation is on.”
