Girl ATM robbery: Just as Isha Khandelwal stepped out of the ATM in Ujjain, Madhya Pradesh, a man gripped her from behind in a bid to rob her, with a knife in hand. Thinking quick, acting quicker, Khandelwal jabbed an elbow hard into his stomach and he buckled to the ground.
She was there with her sister and the latter's son, reports said. She had paused outside the ATM to count her money when the robber attacked. She didn't let him get away, instead attacking him back and proceeded to call for help from passersby. A crowd reportedly collected and the man was handed over to the police.
"With the help of people nearby, we caught the robber and informed the police by dialling 100. I was hurt by the robber’s knife, but I did not let him escape," she told News18.
Cops at Madhav Nagar police station, which is handling the case, lauded the woman and her sister for their courage.

The miscreant tried to make off with her phone but she tripped him and tackled him before other people arrived on the scene to help her. A video of the incident had gone viral.
In September last year, a similar video went viral, where 15-year-old Kusum Kumari in Jalandhar showed unbounded bravery by fighting off bike-borne mobile snatchers all by herself. The men were armed and attempted to injure her but Kumari hit back and chased them down; watch here. She was reportedly rewarded approximately fifty thousand rupees for her act of courage.
