In a heartbreaking incident from Wimbledon, London, a second eight-year-old died after a car crashed into the building of a primary school building. On 6 July, Thursday, in a private Study Prep girls' school in Wimbledon, a tragic car crash took place in which two girls of the school lost their lives while many others were injured and taken to the hospital.
Police on Sunday issued a statement informing about the death of the second girl conveying a heartfelt message by her family that read: "Nuria was the light of our lives. She embodied light, kindness, and generosity and was loved by everyone all around her."
Car Crashed In Primary School, 2 Died
Police have also informed on Friday, that it was a non-terror related incident, as a woman aged 46 years from Wimbledon crashed her car into the primary school's building. The woman was detained at the crime scene and later taken to hospital.
Other children were injured too and were rushed to the hospital but there were no serious injuries, while the woman who crashed the car does not have any life-threatening injuries as well.
It was the last day of their term end in school, an end-of-the-year-tea-party was held in the all-girls elementary school when a woman in her 40s crashed her car into the school premises killed an 8-year-old on the spot named Selena Lau, while the second 8-year-old named Nuria, and the woman was rushed into the hospital along with 15 others including a 7-month-old minor. Nuria lost her life in the hospital, succumbing to her fatal injuries.
A similar incident took place in Florida when an SUV crashed into a car, taking the life of 3 children aged 10, 12, and 14 while injuring a 24-year driver and a 47-year-old woman with serious injuries, whereas the driver of the SUV, a 23-year-old suffered some minor injuries in Long Island.
