    — ANI (@ANI) April 10, 2021 a video where a group of furious men and women can be seen pinning down a black sedan. The car is believed to be Chatterjee's. Many of these people were without masks and showed no regard for social distancing. They shouted and pointed fingers at the car's occupants.
  2. The clip showed several people clashing with the police and security personnel. Some of them had riot shields and tried pushing people aside to clear the path for her car.
  3. Chatterjee shared that they have broken her car. The mob allegedly grabbed her jacket and attacked her car. "I have also been hurt by pieces of glass," she claimed. Then, the media persons got out of their cars and beat them.
  4. Chatterjee also said that some of their (BJP) workers and media persons were still stuck there. She requested an election official over a phone call to send the CRPF to the location.
  5. In another visual, taxis hired by media outlets can be seen parked by the side of the road with shattered windows and windshields.
  6. The fourth phase of the Bengal election began this morning with Locket Chatterjee, Union Minister Babul Supriyo and state ministers Partha Chatterjee and Arup Biswas contesting.
  7. Cautious of violence, the Election Commission has posted about 80,000 personnel from the Central Armed Police Force (CAPF) to guard approximately 16,000 polling stations.
  8. The previous phases of the election and the build-up to the polls as a whole has seen some amount of violence and there have been allegations of either one party sponsoring or engineering attacks on the other.
  9. On April 6, when the election was in its third phase, Trinamool leader Sujata Mondol claimed that she was chased by a lathi-wielding man while she was visiting an Arambagh polling booth. Allegedly, she was hit on the head and accused BJP of creating the commotion and threatening the voters.
  10. There have been claims of the election resorting to the capturing of booths and tampering with votes. While the election was in its third phase, an election official was suspended after he left an EVM overnight at a relative's place, who also happens to be a Trinamool leader.

Locket Chatterjee is the Lok Sabha representative from Hoogly. She is now standing as the MLA candidate for the current election. The results of the Bengal election will be declared on May 2.
