Are you 22? Do you often find yourself swept away by mingled feelings of excitement and anxiety? Are you stressed to find out where you should be in life? SheThePeople.TV spoke to a bunch of young women to know how life looks at 22.
Now, ageing often seems to be a scary prospect, so why 22? It is because most people are about to graduate and enter the professional world. At a time when more and more young women are looking forward to building magnificent careers, it is interesting to note what their inner selves tell them.
Pressure to Perform
Chaitanya Singh, a budding educator, says that being a girl the constant pressure of doing good in every situation hits you more when you are 22. One can't afford to waste time. So, all one can do is to make every moment count. "This is the time when I don't expect but appreciate", she says.

Life becomes an open door
"Life at 22 is unpredictable. Filled with possibilities, excitement and adventures. I admit I am taking some life-altering decisions right now but it is fun.", says Ishita Chhikara, who is working as a Clerical marker in British Council.
"It is like an open-door. Anyone and anything can enter into it - worries, people or opportunities.", she says adding that it is the best time of her life.
Getting stuck amidst so many things
Anchal Goswami, pursuing Gender Studies feels that 22 is an age when a girl turns into a woman and a lot of changes start taking place. There is a constant pressure of completing your academic education and settling down quickly.
"One is stuck between one's dreams and one's family's happiness," she asserts.

Nowhere close to your ideal life
Ayesha Dutta, an alumna of Delhi University, says that life at life at 22 is a bit confusing. Your mind is stuck between your ideal life and real life.What you wanted to achieve from your very childhood and your actual life which is nowhere near it.
"When you grow up, you realise that life is not that easy. It has got a lot of surprises for you which are not always the good ones. Being self - centric is not always the option available to you. At times, you may feel broken or defeated but you must know that it is just a temporary phase which comes in everybody's life," she shares.
Fear starts gripping you
Rashi Goel, who is pursuing her Masters in Economics from Madras University says that at 22, fear starts gripping you. Fear of making the wrong decisions, fear of losing on to what we are, fear of missing out things we always looked forward to, fear of being judged, fear of failing and most importantly fear of not being good enough.
Entering the adult world is hard and one needs to be prepared to deal with the challenges life throws at you. However, there is no set place to be.
