One of the famous film producers of Bollywood, Nitin Manmohan passed away today in Mumbai. A few weeks ago Manmohan was rushed to Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital in Navi Mumbai after suffering a massive heart attack. The producer was known for his films like Bol Radha Bol, Laadla, Ready, and Bhoot.

His daughter Prachi informed the media about his demise. She said, “He passed away this morning, around 10.30 am. He was hospitalised for the past three weeks. After he suffered a heart attack there was a lack of blood supply and oxygen to his brain and this caused Status Epilepticus.”

Nitin Manmohan Death's Reason

Manmohan was last shifted to a private hospital for issues related to his cardiac health. An official told PTI that he was admitted to the hospital due to cardiac issues. He came in a very critical condition and was admitted to the ICU. He was on a ventilator when he passed away in the morning.

Prachi spoke about his illness and the recent massive heart attack on December 3. Narrating the ordeal Prachi said, "my father was declared dead on arrival at the hospital, but mother prevailed upon the doctors to keep trying to revive his pulse. However, the pulse was recovered after 25 minutes. During that time he developed refractory epilepsy. Later, there were seizures and spikes developed in the brain causing a large amount of brain damage. As a result, he stopped responding to medicines given to him.

According to ETimes, actor Akshaye Khanna was the first of the celebrities to reach out to the family after knowing about the producer’s condition. Khanna worked with him in films like Deewangee and Gali Gali Chor Hai.

Nitin Manmohan is the son of the late actor Manmohan, who featured in films such as Brahmachari, Gumnaam, and Naya Zamana. Manmohan was survived by his wife, together they had a daughter Prachi and a son Soham.
