How The Issue Came To Light

On June 11, Deepika Narayan Bharadwaj shared about the issue on her X (formerly Twitter) account, saying that Shikha Metray's content misguides young boys. The social activist posted clips where the YouTuber was seen encouraging sexual exploitation and urged authorities to take action. Metray's highly disturbing content was soon exposed all over social media.

"One can't just put content endangering the life of little kids and get away by removing their handles. Hope she's investigated soon," Bharadwaj said on X. After she filed a formal complaint with the Ghaziabad police, an FIR was registered and two police teams were set up for Metray's arrest. The YouTuber was arrested on June 13.

Netizens found videos of the self-proclaimed gamer promoting 'tips' on sexually abusing infants, videos titled 'She Will Say No, Let Her,' insinuating disregard for a woman's consent, and more harmful behaviour. Metray's videos started receiving immense backlash for misguiding impressionable audiences in the guise of 'dark humour'.
