Bollywood actor Kriti Sanon on Saturday revealed that she has tested negative for COVID-19. Sanon, sharing the news through her social media handles, thanked Bombay Municipal Corporation(BMC) officials and her doctor, and also expressed gratitude towards her fans for their wishes and love.
"Happy to inform everyone that I have finally tested Negative for COVID-19! A big thank you to @mybmc officials, respected Assistant commissioner @mybmcwardKW Mr. Vishwas Mote, and my doctor for all the help & assistance. And thank you all for the warm wishes and the love," Sanon wrote on Twitter.

On December 9, Sanon shared the news of testing COVID-19 positive through social media. She wrote, "I'd like to inform everyone that I have tested positive for Covid-19. There's absolutely nothing to worry as I'm feeling fine and have quarantined myself as per BMC and my doctor's advice. So I'm gonna ride this tide, rest it out and resume work soon. Till then, I'm reading all the warm wishes and they seem to be working. Be safe guys, the pandemic hasn't gone yet!"
Sanon tested positive for COVID-19 after she returned to Mumbai from Chandigarh where she was shooting for her upcoming film alongside Rajkummar Rao.
On the work front, Sanon will next be seen in Laxman Utekar's Mimi. The film also stars Pankaj Tripathi, Supriya Pathak, Manoj Pahwa, and Sai Tamhankar. Sanon plays the role of a surrogate mother in the film. She will also star opposite Akshay Kumar in the film Bachchan Pandey. The shooting of the film will likely begin in January 2021, in Jaisalmer.

Stars Who Have Recently Tested COVID-19 Positive
After a long haul as the film industry has resumed shooting, many actors have tested positive for COVID-19. Of recently, actor Neetu Kapoor and Varun Dhawan tested COVID-19 positive while shooting for their upcoming film Jug Jugg Jeeyo, along with the film’s director Raj Mehta. Among the other stars who have got tested positive for novel coronavirus are Pakistani actress Mahira Khan, Mollywood star Prithviraj Sukumaran, Bollywood actor Harshvardhan Rane, and actress Tamannaah Bhatia.
