After news reports suggested that Kriti Sanon has tested positive for COVID-19, the actor confirmed the same in an Instagram post on Wednesday. She further revealed that she was self quarantining and "will resume work soon." The actor was in Chandigarh recently, shooting for an upcoming project with Rajkummar Rao.
" There's absolutely nothing to worry as I am feeling fine and have quarantined myself as per BMC and my doctor's advice. So, I am gonna ride this tide, rest it out and resume work soon. Till then, I am reading all the warm wishes and they seem to be working," the 30-year-old actor wrote in her post, adding, "Be safe guys, the pandemic hasn't gone yet."

As shootings for films resume after an unprecedented halt due to the COVID-19 pandemic, several noted actors have tested positive for coronavirus in last few days.
Actor Neetu Kapoor and Varun Dhawan tested COVID-19 positive while shooting for upcoming film Jug Jugg Jeeyo, along with the film’s director Raj Mehta. Their co-stars Anil Kapoor and Kiara Advani, however, tested negative and the film's shoot is on halt now.

Television actor Divya Bhatnagar, known for her work in hit serial Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai passed away due to COVID-19 complications on December 7. the 34-year-old actor had contracted the disease last month and had been put on ventilator support last week after her condition deteriorated.
