As per reports, Paul stabbed Das with a knife multiple times on Wednesday. Then, she informed the police who rushed to the spot only to find Das' body in a pool of blood with several stab injuries. Das was immediately taken to the hospital. But unfortunately, doctors said that he was brought dead.

Police action against the accused

The police registered a complaint against Paul for the murder of Das. During interrogation, she confessed to the crime but the reason behind it is still unknown. DCP (South Zone) Barrackpore, Anupam Singh told a media outlet, “We arrested the woman and seized the murder weapon. She confessed to the crime. She will be produced in a court on Thursday.”

Was social media post a reason behind the murder?

Many reports are linking the murder with the recent social media post of Das. He had posted pictures of him with Paul and her son on his account with hashtags “#betterhalf”, “#loveofmylife" and more. Paul is divorced and has a son from her previous husband. However, the "family" photo has now been deleted.
