Kirron Kher suffering from blood cancer: Veteran actor Kirron Kher is suffering from multiple myeloma, a type of blood cancer, Chandigarh BJP president Arun Sood revealed in a virtual press conference on Wednesday. He also disclosed the information that she is currently undergoing treatment in Mumbai.
Kher's colleague, Sood further assured that the 68-year-old actor-turned-politician is recovering after her treatment for the disease started last year. He stated that it was in November last year when Kher was admitted to a government hospital in Chandigarh for her "broken left arm" and it was then that "she was diagnosed" with blood cancer.

A Hindustan Times report quoted Sood saying, "Kirron Kher had suffered a broken left arm at her Chandigarh house on November 11 last year. After her medical tests at the Post Graduate Institute of Medical Education and Research (PGIMER) in Chandigarh, she was diagnosed with multiple myeloma. The disease had spread to her left arm and right shoulder. For treatment, she had to go to Mumbai on December 4."
Kher, who is also a Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) member, was elected as MP for a second consecutive term from Chandigarh.
She’s now recovering after her four-month-long treatment, Sood continued.
"Even though she is recovering after her four-month treatment and no longer admitted at Kokilaben Hospital, Mumbai, she has to visit the hospital regularly for treatment", he revealed.
Married to noted actor Anupam Kher, Kher was first elected to the Lok Sabha in 2014 and later in 2019, she retained her seat in Chandigarh in parliamentary polls.
On the work front, she is seen as a judge on the reality show India's Got Talent, along with Karan Johar and Malaika Arora. She si known for her roles in hit films such as Devdas and Dostana. So far, no official statement has been made by Kirron Kher or by the family.
