Kim Kardashian West Hires Surrogate To Carry Third Child

Reality TV star Kim Kardashian and her pop singer husband Kanye West have hired a surrogate to carry their third child after daughter North (4) and son Saint (18 months). They had to hire a surrogate because Kim’s doctor has advised her not to go for a third pregnancy.

“I’ve come to the conclusion in my mind that I can’t carry another one. So now I want to explore surrogacy,” Kardashian West told her mother, Kris Jenner, on the show, Keeping Up With The Kardashians.

After their two children, the couple desires for another one and to fulfil their desire, they have hired a surrogate to carry their child. Kardashian suffered from placenta accreta during her last pregnancy in which the placenta grows into the wall of the womb and prevents it from easily detaching at the time of birth.

It is being alleged that the couple paid nearly $70,000 to a surrogacy agency to find a surrogate to carry the celebrity child. The surrogate will be paid around $45,000 for 10 months of carrying out the pregnancy and $5,000 extra for a possible twin or triplet, reported USA Today.

According to E!Online, Kardashian has already revealed her wish to try surrogacy on the show as on the April 2 episode, she was heard talking to her sister Kourtney saying, “After talking to Kanye, I think I always knew that surrogacy was an option, but I didn't think it was that realistic of an option, and now I feel like that's my reality. I feel like surrogacy really is the only other option for me."

She even wrote a blog on how difficult her pregnancies have been both times. During the first pregnancy, she had pre-eclampsia, “which is a serious condition you can get during pregnancy; often, the only way to get rid of it is to deliver early to protect yourself and the baby. Only about 5 per cent of woman get this. Lucky me! It causes your body and face to swell, and that was very uncomfortable for me. I had early-onset pre-eclampsia and I had to deliver at 34 weeks, almost six weeks early,” she wrote in her blog.

When Kardashian discussed it on the show, it involved her sister Khloe too who happily agreed to surrogate for the star couple. But they went to a fertility specialist who revealed that Khloe has fertility problems of her own.
