A woman from Kerala was detained in Bengaluru after it was claimed that she faked a bomb scare. According to the police, the incident happened on Friday at Bengaluru's Kempegowda International Airport. The woman allegedly did this because she missed her flight to Kolkata, according to an investigation.
Manasi Satheebainu, the alleged accused, resides in Kozhikode, Kerala, and was scheduled to fly with IndiGo to Kolkata. The incident is said to have occurred between 8:15 and 8:40 in the morning. CISF officer Sandeep Singh, whom she attempted to attack, has testified in the police case against her.

Singh, a CISF employee assigned to the airport, reported her to the Bangalore International Airport Limited (BIAL) police, who then detained her. Singh was assigned to boarding gate no. 6 during the morning shift, according to the investigators. According to a police officer, the woman then went to boarding gate number 6 and shouted at the passengers, telling them that a bomb had been planted there and urging them to flee for their lives.
Manasi rushed to the gate at around 8:20 a.m. and announced she had to board an IndiGo flight that was headed to Kolkata immediately. If she wasn't allowed to board the flight, she also threatened to blow up the airport.

Singh also claimed that Manasi grabbed him by the collar and was not listening to him. Manasi allegedly kicked and punched the CISF officer in the face while yelling that there was a bomb at the airport and that all travellers needed to leave right away. Other CISF officers gathered near Gate 6 after hearing the disturbance and took Manasi into custody. She was then turned over to the police by the CISF personnel.
The police were unaware of Manasi's visit to Kolkata's purpose. Her family apologised for her actions and claimed that she was "disturbed" by something. The BIAL police detained Manasi and filed a case against her in accordance with sections 505, 323 and 353 of the Indian Penal Code.
