Kerala Dental Student Death: A shocking incident has been reported from Kerala's Ernakulam district where a man shot dead a 24-year-old woman at her rented apartment before killing himself with the same weapon, police said.
As per reports, the deceased woman has been identified as a 24-year-old dental student named PV Manasa. She was a student at Indira Gandhi Institute of Dental Sciences in Nellikuzhi, Kothamangalam. The man who killed her, Rakhil, was reportedly from Manasa's home district, Kannur and had known her from there. The police said that the motive behind the murder is still unknown.
According to a report by Mathrubhumi, the woman was at her rented place with her place when Rakhi came looking for her at 3 pm on Friday. He found her upstairs and got engaged in a verbal fight with her. When Manasa's friends went upstairs to check on the duo, Manasa was reportedly found in a pool of blood.
Rakhi allegedly shot Manasa at a close range. The bullet reportedly struck just below her ear. He then pulled the trigger again and killed himself with the same gun, police said. As per reports, Manasa had come from Kannur after the COVID-19 break.
The accused person had tortured the deceased woman earlier also as per reports. Her father had filed a complaint against him at a police station in Kannur.
