Telangana MLC from Nizamabad Kalvakuntla Kavitha on Tuesday shortly halted her official visit to her constituency in order to help a woman who was lying unconscious on the road.
The incident occurred in Nizamabad where an elderly woman met with an accident and was lying unconscious on the roadside. In a video of the incident, K Kavitha was seen assisting the woman to gain consciousness. Kavitha later sent her to a hospital for further treatment.

Post the incident, the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) leader also attended a felicitation ceremony at an educational institute and visited Lakshmi-Ganapathi temple. On Twitter, the MLC wrote, "I had the virtue of seeking blessings and offering prayers blessings at the Lakshmi-Ganapathi temple in Borgaon."

Telangana Rashtra Samithi president and chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao’s daughter K Kavitha made a comeback to active politics in October by winning the by-elections to the state legislative council with an incredible majority.
In October, after taking the oath, K Kavitha tweeted, "Took oath as Kamareddy and Nizamabad districts local bodies MLC. I humbly thank my party for the opportunity and the local body representatives who have elected me to this position."

In the 2014, elections, Kavitha was elected as an MP from Nizamabad and in 2019 she was defeated by BJP candidate Dharmapuri Aravind with a margin of over 69,000 votes.
