Surprise Announcement & Cancer Update

Barely three months after she revealed her cancer diagnosis to the public, the Princess communicated via Kensington Palace on  X (formerly Twitter) that she would make a brief appearance at the Trooping the Colours ceremony

"I am making good progress, but as anyone going through chemotherapy will know, there are good days and bad days." she wrote, "On those bad days you feel weak, tired and you have to give in to your body resting. But on the good days, when you feel stronger, you want to make the most of feeling well. My treatment is ongoing and will be for a few more months. On the days I feel well enough, it is a joy to engage with school life, spend personal time on the things that give me energy and positivity, as well as starting to do a little work from home."

She also noted that she was looking forward to joining a few more public engagements throughout the summer but is not entirely out of the woods yet.

Jubilous Mood of the Day

On the day of the parade, the Princess of Wales was described as radiant as she arrived at the ceremony with her husband, Prince William, and her three children - Princes George and Louis and Princess Charlotte. While initially looking apprehensive, The Independent reported that her mood matched the celebratory and cheerful spirit of the occasion.

She was seen sharing a private joke with her husband that made him chuckle and was caught bursting into laughter as her youngest son broke into a little jig in the middle of the procession.

The Princess of Wales could only be described as charmingly elegant, dressed in a previously worn black and white coat dress with a little bow on the neckline.

However, an Entertainment Tonight report noted how, despite being her radiant self in public, the Princess of Wales' appearance possibly took a toll on her health amid her ongoing cancer treatment. A source closely connected with the royal household told People, “She has been doing what’s right for her and recovering privately at home. She is dealing with it the best she can.”
