The Duchess of Cambridge, Kate Middleton has managed to gather fans all over the globe. Her classy demeanour, intellect, and personality does not leaves one in awe of her. The famous Royal Wedding in 2011, which was telecast even on DoorDarshan here in India, was a talking matter for days and months around the world.
Kate Middleton in fact is not of the noble blood, and therefore this wedding which sailed through without any drama, was seen to be an advancement of modern values where the royal family accepted her without any hangups, so to say.
On her birthday, January 9th we bring you a brief history and her most special moments in India.

Prince Williams and Kate Middleton met at the University of St. Andrews in Scotland in the year 2001, where their journey together began.
Since their wedding in 2011, Kate has given birth to two royal kids, namely Charlotte, and George. They are formally known as Princess Charlotte of Cambridge and Prince George of Cambridge. For their royal tour in 2016, the Duke and the Duchess visited India for a week in the month of April, after which they went back to celebrate the Queen's 90th birthday back home in London.

The Duchess is also known for her exclusive fashion sense, and we see her taste in all the pictures that pasted over the internet during this royal couple's visit to India.
On her visit to Mumbai, the royal couple also met with children from various NGOs like Magic Bus, Childline and Doorstep. They also indulged in a quick cricket match organised for them!
They even visited the wilderness of Assam and the Duchess volunteered to feed this baby rhino at the Centre for Wildlife Rehabilitation and Conservation.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi met both Prince William and Duchess of Cambridge on their short visit to New Delhi.
Shobhaa De also came into news with her churlish comments made on Kate's choice of outfits for her India tour. She reportedly commented that her dressing style was 'boring' and 'wishy washy', whatever that means. But of course, an opinion is not required everywhere and many Indians who wrote an open letter to Shobhaa De, made sure they conveyed the message.
