'Kasautii Zindagii Kay' Actor Pracheen Chauhan Gets Bail In Molestation Case

Pracheen Chauhan bail: Hours after being arrested in a molestation case, television actor Pracheen Chauhan was granted bail Saturday by a court in Borivali, Mumbai.

Star of popular shows like Kasautii Zindagii Kay, Sinndoor Tere Naam Ka, and Saat Phere, Chauhan was arrested earlier today after a 22-year-old woman filed a complaint against him for molesting her.

As per the complaint, Chauhan had invited the woman - also an actor - to his residence for a party on June 30 where he allegedly molested her. More details here.

"The woman approached us and alleged that Pracheen Chauhan touched her inappropriately in an inebriated state," police told the media.

She filed a complaint at Karur police station, as per ANI, and a case was registered against Chauhan under various sections of the Indian Penal Code.

A case against Chauhan comes following that of another television actor, Pearl V Puri. Puri, who was released on bail on June 15 after 11 days of police custody, was accused of raping the minor daughter of a co-actor. He was charged under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act.

After making bail, Puri took to Instagram and in a post addressed the case, saying, "I was overnight made to feel like a criminal." Read more here.
