A woman in Karnataka married six people in order to earn maintenance money. She is now reportedly fighting with her seventh husband for maintenance. This was revealed through a courtroom video that is going viral. It was shared by an X user and is gaining a lot of traction for its highly objectionable content.
Details of the viral video
As per the video, the woman stayed with each husband for six months or a year. She then filed a case against them under Section 498A soon after. In the current case too she has demanded maintenance from her seventh husband. However, the court is now aware of her pattern as the judge stated, "You are playing with the law."
The video which is one minute and 26 seconds long shows the judge asking basic questions to the lawyer. He asked about the six husbands, their identification, marriage certificates, and photographs. The court went through the previous cases filed by the woman and said that this case is an "epitome" of citizens playing with the law.
