Karnataka Headmaster Sexually Assaults Student In Viral Video, Case Filed

After a video in which the Karnataka headmaster sexually assaulted a student went viral, the Education Department filed a case against him under the Prevention Of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) act on January 29.

The public was enraged by the school headmaster's indecent act and demanded action against him after which the Education Department intervened. The incident is of a school in the H.D. Kote Town of the Mysuru district of Karnataka. A video of the headmaster kissing the girl student went viral on social media.

Karnataka Headmaster Sexually Assaults Student

A video from a school in the Mysuru district went viral on social media. In the video, the school headmaster is seen kissing a girl student of the school in his chamber. The video was being shot by some students through a window of the chamber. When they realise that someone is filming them, the girl backs off and the headmaster is seen moving towards the window.

As the video where Karnataka headmaster sexually assaults student went viral, the villagers and students were enraged. The case came into the conscience of Block Education Officer (BEO), a case of sexual assault against the school headmaster was lodged under the POCSO act. The case was filed at H.D. Kote Town police station and the headmaster will be taken in custody to question regarding the matter.

The case of assault against children have been increasing in the country. Recently there were news reports of assault of a 7-year-old by his mother and that of the suicide of a 17-year-old after being allegedly tortured at school for conversion to Christianity. The cases are too many and hence, they require more attention and awareness from the authorities to implement strict actions and punishments.
