Kareena Kapoor's residential building was sealed Tuesday after the actor tested positive for COVID-19, as per reports. Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC), the civic body of Mumbai, where Kapoor resides, has sanitised the building and will reportedly conduct RT-PCR tests for all residents.
The 41-year-old confirmed her COVID-19 diagnosis in an Instagram story on Monday. Others in Kapoor's friend circle who have tested positive for the virus include Amrita Arora, Maheep Kapoor and Seema Khan. More here.
Kapoor's health update comes following a party hosted at director Karan Johar's house last week to celebrate the 20-year milestone of their film Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham. Johar himself has tested negative for COVID-19.

The BMC is tracing and testing others who came in contact with Kapoor and Arora. As quoted by ANI, the civic body said the duo "violated COVID-19 norms and attended several parties."
A statement from Kapoor's spokesperson mentioned that she contracted the virus at "an intimate dinner" where friends, including Arora, had met to catch up. "Among that group, there was one person who seemed unwell and was coughing, and who eventually passed it on," the spokesperson added, as per News18, saying the person in question should have been "responsible enough" and not attended the dinner.
Reports quoting sources have said that Khan was the first to test positive for COVID-19, following which Kapoor and the others got themselves tested. Designer Masaba Gupta, actors Karisma Kapoor and Malaika Arora were also in attendance at Johar's party.

Kapoor, while informing of her diagnosis on social media, wrote that her family and staff were double vaccinated and until that point had not shown any symptoms of the illness. She has two sons - Taimur and Jehangir - and is married to actor Saif Ali Khan.
The Fashion actor was also in attendance at another party last week, hosted by director Rhea Kapoor. Other attendees included Kapoor's sister Karisma, the Arora sisters and Gupta. Kapoor and Rhea worked together on the 2018 film Veere Di Wedding and have been close friends since.
