Reports say this suspension is likely to be permanent. This follows a controversial tweet related to the violence in Bengal. The actor's account repeatedly violated Twitter policy on "hateful conduct and abusive behaviour", the social media site, Twitter said.

In the tweet that appears to have spurred this action, the actor seems to urging Prime Minister Narendra Modi to "tame" Mamata Banerjee using his "Virat Roop" from "early 2000s" in Bengal. The tweet sparked outrage and calls for action against it.
What was Twitter's statement?
"We've been clear that we will take strong enforcement action on behaviour that has the potential to lead to offline harm. The referenced account has been permanently suspended for repeated violations of Twitter Rules specifically our Hateful Conduct policy and Abusive Behaviour policy," a Twitter spokesperson said, saying the rules were applied judiciously and impartially.
"As explained in our abusive behaviour policy, you may not engage in the targeted harassment of someone, or incite other people to do so. We consider abusive behaviour an attempt to harass, intimidate, or silence someone else's voice."
Ranaut is not new to controversial behaviour. It's almost a daily controversial tweet from the actor, well known for films like Queen.

Ranaut, publicly right-wing in her views, has been making very controversial statements, many laden with messages to allegedly incite violence. Just this morning she put out tweets on West Bengal violence calling for a 'super gundai' to take on another 'gundai'.
