In the pictures that accompany her tweet, Ranaut can be seen discussing a scene with the film's director. Thalaivi is a biopic on former Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, Jayaram Jayalalithaa.
In February this year, on the occasion of the 72nd birth anniversary of actor turned politician Jayalalithaa, Ranaut had shared her first look from Thalaivi on Instagram.

Kangana Ranaut on Hathras case
On September 30, the Queen actor tweeted on the Hathras gangrape case of a 19-year-old Dalit woman. She wrote, “I have immense faith in @myogiadityanath ji, just how Priyanka Reddy rapists were shot dead on the very spot they raped and burnt her alive we want the same emotional, instinctive and impulsive justice for #HathrasHorror #HathrasHorrorShocksIndia.”

Kangana Ranaut on Sushant Singh Rajput's case
On October 3, she also questioned the ongoing investigation in Sushant Singh Rajput’s death case. "Young extraordinary individuals don't just wake up one fine day and kill themselves," wrote Ranaut in her tweet, asking why did media spread false news about him being a "rapist".
With latest progress we need answers to few questions.

1) SSR repeatedly spoke about big production houses banning him. Who are these people who conspired against him?
2) Why media spread false news about him being a rapist?
3) Why was Mahesh Bhatt doing his psychoanalysis?
Kangana Ranaut was in news throughout September after she got into a war of words on social media with Mumbai Police and the ruling party in the state of Maharashtra. Her comment comparing the city of Mumbai to Pakistan earned her the ire of Shiv Sena MP Sanjay Raut. BMC also demolished parts of her Mumbai office citing illegal construction as the reason.
Yesterday, Raut again targetted Ranaut in his column for Saamana, writing, "Those who supported Kangana Ranaut’s baseless comments against Mumbai and Maharashtra and demanded justice for her when her illegal construction was pulled down are now silent and have become invisible when it comes to demanding justice for the Hathras victim," further adding that no one has called Hathras a Pakistan so far.
