There has been particular lot of interest and speculation around how the actor's looks both in the young and older avatar of the iconic politician.
The producer of the film, Vishnu Induri, has said that renowned Hollywood artist, Jason Collins, who has worked on films like Blade Runner and Captain Marvel, will be working on Kangana's look in Thalaivi. Kangana flew to Los Angeles a few days ago for the same.
Kangana was fully covered in prosthetic glue for her tests as per her official instagram post. Reportedly, she was kept for a long time for the team to have a set to check and work upon.
Tweeting, Rangoli Chandel, her sister, explained the process & expressed how difficult it was. She tweeted, "This is how measurements for prosthetics are taken, it’s not easy to be an actor, Kangana so calm even in something which is so suffocating for us to even watch 😰."
The Jayalalithaa biopic was announced in March this year. The actor had said in a statement, “Jayalalitha ji is one of the biggest female success stories of this century. She was a superstar and went on to become an iconic politician, it’s a great concept for a mainstream film. I am honoured to be a part of this mega project.”
There is a lot of curiosity around the film and Kangana's look. Filmstar turned politico Jayalalithaa served as the chief minister of Tamil Nadu for over 14 years. The AIADMK leader was bereaved by thousands when she died in 2016 at the age of 68 following multiple organ failure.
