K-Pop Song Pink Venom Tagged Most Played Song By Female Artists Across The World

After becoming the most-watched music video on YouTube within the first 24 hours this year, K-pop all-girls group BLACKPINK's song Pink Venom breaks another record. It became most played song by female artists across the world.

YG Entertainment, a Korean talent agency said, "Pink Venom hit 6,710,743 million streams within two days of release. On the day of release, it touched 7,937,036 streams." "The second day was a little low from the first day, but it is still the most played song released by female artists around the world this year," affirmed YG entertainment. BLACKPINK is the first K-pop group to top the chart for two consecutive days.

Pink Venom also topped iTunes- Top Song chart in 74 countries, including the United States and the United Kingdom. It also topped the Worldwide Song chart for two straight days.

On YouTube, it is still trending number on No.1. The dance-driven girl-power anthem Pink Venom video had 86.2 million views within 24 hours of its Friday midnight release on the video sharing website. It had passed the 100-million-view threshold within 30 hours. BLACKPINK supporters- Blinks awarded Pink Venom 6 million likes on YouTube within its initial window of availability.

BLACKPINK has given hits like How You Like That, Ddu-du Ddu-du, Kill This Love, and many more songs. The band first debuted in August 2016, and their tracks Whistle and Boombayah were massive hits. It also topped the Billboard World Digital Song Sales chart.

BLACKPINK had collaborated with several Hollywood star singers. For instance- Selena Gomes for Ice-cream (received best Music Video Award at 2020 TDY Awards), Dua Lip for Kiss and Makeup released in 2018. 

Pink Venom will be featured on BLACKPINK's upcoming album Born Pink, which is to be released on September 16. Jisoo, Jennie, Rosé, and Lisa, the members of the girl group Blackpink, will be performing at the MTV Video Music Awards on August 28.
