Journalists Mourn Danish Siddiqui's Death : Indian journalist Danish Siddiqui, working with Reuters as a photo journalist, has been killed in an attack by the Taliban in Spin Boldak district, Kandahar. He was in Afghanistan covering the tense situation in Kandahar for the last few days.

A lot of female journalists also took to social media to mourn the loss of the Pulitzer award winner.

Shiba Kurian, journalist with the News Minute, shared some of his work and interview from her twitter handle. Danish had mentioned in the interview that he enjoyed capturing human face of a breaking story the most.

Sreyashi Dey, senior journalist at Times Now, expressed her sadness at the fact that he died just two days after tweeting about the tensed situation in Kandahar in Afghanistan.

Siddiqui and his colleague Adnan Abidi were the first Indians to receive the Pulitzer Prize for Feature Photography. They had documented the Rohingya refugee crisis. Besides this, he has received adulation for his coverage of 2020 Delhi riots, the Covid-19 pandemic, the Nepal earthquake in 2015 and the Battle of Mosul in 2016-17.
