In the Jio Women's T20 Match of Velocity vs Trailblazers, Trailblazers made a brilliant comeback by defeating Velocity by 9 wickets, in Sharjah today. Velocity captain Mithali Raj chose to bat after winning the toss. Trailblazers captain, Smriti Mandhana said that her bowlers perfectly executed their plan in the nine-wicket stumping of Velocity, according to The Indian Express.
- Trailblazers went to the top of the T20 Match table with two points and a NRR of +3.905. Velocity's NRR was a measly -1.869.
- The Velocity batting order got all out at 47 in just 7.5 overs.
- Velocity's score was 22/5 by the end of the T20 powerplay.
- Jhulan Goswami took the first wicket for the Trailblazers, dismissing Shafali Verma in the third over.
- Sophie Ecclestone got two big wickets in the fourth over; Mithali Raj and Veda Krishnamurthy, by bowling them out successfully.
- Rajeshwari Gayakwad struck on back-to-back deliveries, dismissing Sune Luus and Sushree Dibyadarshini, in the ninth over.
- Ecclestone took the last wicket, closing off Velocity's game at 47.
- During the chase, Leigh Kasperek took the first wicket by bowling out Smriti Mandhana, caption of the Trailblazers, in the fourth over.
- Deandra Dottin and Richa Ghosh's 37-run partnership took the team to their winning position.
- Sophie Ecclestone was declared 'Player of the Match' after just took 4 wickets for 9 runs in her 3.1 overs.

According to NDTV Sports, Velocity captain Mithali Raj said that 'this is a game her side would want to forget'. Furthermore, she said that when one has a fresh wicket, the batters want to bat, and that's what they did. But her plan misfired as her side put up a disappointing show of just 47-all out in 15 overs, which the Trailblazers chased down in 7.5 overs. Trailblazers caption Smriti Mandhana said that it was good that Velocity chose to bat first, because they wanted to take a look at the wicket.
