Jerry Hall, a former top model, and media tycoon Rupert Murdoch are reportedly getting a divorce. For its article on the impending split, the New York Times cited two unnamed sources. No confirmation of the news has been received from either Hall or Murdoch. 

Murdoch, who was born in Australia, had previously married three times. In 1990, Hall wed Mick Jagger; however, the union was dissolved nine years later. The Times reported that some sources close to Murdoch were "surprised" to learn of the divorce.

American actor and model Jerry Hall reportedly has a $20 million dollar net worth. She is one of the most well-known models in the world throughout the 1970s. While tanning in Saint Tropez, she was seen by a fashion representative. She rose to fame as one of the most sought-after models of her era, making up to $1,000 per day in the early 1970s. She began her acting career in 1980 with a modest role in the love story Urban Cowboy. Since then, Hall has made numerous theatre appearances, performing in The Graduate, High Society, and Love Letters, among other plays.

When fashion agent Claude Haddad came upon Jerry Hall and her twin sister Terry, they were reportedly lounging on a Saint Tropez beach in the French Riviera. She relocated to Paris and lived in an apartment with Jessica Lange and singer Grace Jones. For appearing in the most musical productions in one night—six—Hall received the Guinness World Record in February 2004 in front of 9,124 theatregoers in London's West End.

In a reprise of the Pulitzer Prize-nominated play Love Letters by A. R. Gurney, Hall made a one-week performance in June 2012 at the Gaiety Theatre in Dublin with David Soul. Hall's participation in the tenth season of the British dancing competition Strictly Come Dancing was revealed on September 10, 2012. Anton du Beke was her business partner. She was the second famous person to be booted out of the contest. Jerry Hall: My Life in Pictures, her autobiography, was released in 2010.
