Jerry Hall Asks For Spousal Support From Rupert Murdoch After Filing For Divorce

Model and actor Jerry Hall asks for spousal support from Rupert Murdoch. The couple had gotten married in 2016 and filed for divorce after six years of marriage. The 66-year-old Hall said in the petition filed with the Los Angeles Superior Court that she was not aware of the full extent of Murdoch’s assets and debts and would amend the petition when the information was discovered.

Hall also asked the Los Angeles court to terminate its ability to award support to Murdoch. Murdoch has 30 days to file a response.

The actor cited irreconcilable differences as the reason behind the divorce. Her filing the divorce petition confirmed the rumours regarding the couple’s marriage. The New York Times had reported that a divorce was expected but that it would not affect Murdoch’s business structure.

Hall and Murdoch had gotten married in March 2016 after they reportedly began dating in 2015. The marriage had marked Murdoch’s fourth marriage. He had previously been married to Patricia Booker, Anna Mann, and Wendi Deng. It was Hall’s first marriage since her previous marriage with the musician Mick Jagger was never legal and therefore considered invalid.
