Singer-actor Jennifer Lopez is all ready to lead the feature The Cipher for Netflix. The film is based on a novel of the same name. Isabella Maldonado is the author of the novel. As reported by Variety, the streamer optioned the book for Lopez and producing partners Elaine Goldsmith-Thomas and Benny Medina.
Lopez will be playing the role of an FBI agent, Nina Guerrera, who is pulled into a serial killer’s case after he leaves complex codes and riddles online. The codes are linked to recent murders and are designed to lure her into a thrilling chase. Lopez is also one of the producers of the film.

Executive producers for the project are Liza Fleissig, Ginger Harris-Dontzin. Catherine Hagedorn and Maldonado. Courtney Baxter will serve as associate producer.
Lopez will be seen in Universal Pictures Marry Me. It is the tale of a pop star who marries a fan during an arena performance. She will also star in fim maker Reed Morano’s The Godmother, which focusses on rise and fall of the late drug lord Griselda Blanco.
She will also star in Lionsgate’s Shotgun Wedding, about a couple whose destination wedding is highjacked by criminals. The movie also co-stars Armie Hammer. Lopez will also serve as the headline performer for the 2020 edition of Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve.
