Uttar Pradesh's JEE Topper Pal Aggarwal scores 99.988 percentile in Mains: A 17-year-old from Ghaziabad has topped the JEE Mains in UP, for February 2021 session. Pal Aggarwal scored 99.988 percentile in the exam, whose results were declared on Monday evening. Another female topper from the state worth mentioning is Namrata Jha, who scored 99.985 percentile in the exam.
Pal Aggarwal told Hindustan Times that she wants to graduate in aerospace engineering and become an astronaut. Daughter of clinical psychologist Rakhi Aggarwal and businessman Vishal Aggarwal, the teen studies at Seth Anandram Jaipuria School, in Ghaziabad. She is set to appear for her class 12 exams in May this year.
Speaking about emerging as a topper in one of the hardest exams to crack in the nation, she said, "It was a double celebration at our house. First, I emerged as UP topper in JEE (Mains) and second, it happened on International Women’s Day." Pal further added that this was "like a dream come true" for her, as it is mostly boys who emerge as toppers in JEE.
The National Testing Agency (NTA) released the results of the first session Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) main 2021 on March 8. As many as six people are said to have score 100 percentile in the first session of JEE mains. Read more about it here.
