American Actor- Activist Jane Fonda diagnosed with cancer and is undergoing chemotherapy. The 84-year-old Fonda revealed that her cancer, Non-Hodgkin lymphoma, is treatable, and she is fighting to beat it with time.
Jane Fonda announced through social media that she is undergoing chemotherapy for her cancer for six months now and is looking to respond to the treatment well. She asserted that her diagnosis would not come in the way of her climate activism.

Fonda stated that, unlike many others, she has the privilege of health insurance and access to the best doctors and caregivers. "Almost every family in America has had to deal with cancer at some point, and far too many do not have access to the great health care I am receiving, which is not right,” she wrote.
She further added that cancer is a teacher, and now she will be paying attention to what the disease has to teach her. “One thing it has already taught me is the value of community. The process of expanding and developing one's community so that we are not alone,” she stated.

Will not let cancer prevent from activism
Fonda reassures through her post that she will not back down from activism as "we are living in the most crucial period in human history because our actions will define what type of future we have,” adding that she will not let this disease prevent her from contributing towards the betterment of the world in any way.
She also significantly shared, how cancer has also taught her to adapt to new situations and circumstances, especially now that she is about to turn 85. The actor ended her post by specifically mentioning the midterm elections to be held in November, wherein, she assures present to “grow the army of climate champions.”
The Oscar-winning actor made her debut in 1960. She earned fame and appreciation for her roles in films like Nine to Five, Barbarella, and On Golden Pond. Her most recent and loved appearance was in the comedy series Grace and Frankie on Netflix. Fonda is also a well-known political activist right from the start as she vocally opposed the Vietnam War in the 1960s.
