Jaipur woman feet chopped: In a shocking incident from Jaipur's Khatepura village, a middle-aged woman was found dead with her body mutilated and throat slit, as per reports on Wednesday. Police officials said this might be a case of looting since a pair of silver anklets from the deceased's feet are missing.
The family of the 55-year-old woman is reportedly staging protests near the spot her body was found in Jamwaramgarh area, urging authorities for swift justice. The nature of the case has prompted political leaders to offer comments.

As per reports, Geeta Devi was out grazing cattle on Tuesday morning in Jamwaramgarh. A little after noon, passersby reportedly spotted the body surrounded with blood. The woman's throat was slit and her feet were hacked off.
A viral video, allegedly of the crime, that shows a woman sprawled on the ground with her detached limbs lying nearby is also doing rounds online.

According to police, it appears the accused was/were waiting to rob someone near the desolate area that Geeta Devi was found. A case of murder has been registered and hundreds of police officials are deployed in the search of the accused, reports suggest.
Panic has gripped locals in Khatepura following the attack. Many staged a dharna, reportedly refusing to hand over Devi's body to authorities. "Their demands include immediate arrest of the killers, compensation and a government job to one of her family members," an official said, as quoted by news agency PTI.
Satish Poonia, head of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Rajasthan, lashed out at the opposition Congress currently in power in the state, remarking on the "deteriorating law and order situation." He accused Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot of "increasing crime" and demanded his resignation.
