A man recently posted a video on Instagram in which he assigned 'rates' to foreign women tourists in Jaipur. Guru, identified with the username @guru__brand0000, posted several reels that were offensive to women. On the other side, the women tourists were unaware of Guru's intentions and hence reacted normally and smiled in the reels. However, he was detained on June 23 by police for harassing foreign women tourists and posting their videos online.
Man harasses and objectifies foreign women tourists
An X user flagged the incident and captioned the reel by invoking the Indian policy of Atithi Devo Bhava. He wrote, "Guys like these are the reason why international tourists have bad experiences in India. @jaipur_police should arrest this guy for harassing tourists and teach him basic civic sense and the meaning of Atithi Devo Bhava."

Pointing out to individual women, Guru assigns different rates and says, "She is available for Rs 150, she is for Rs 200, you can get her for Rs 500 and this one is for Rs 300."
Since Guru was speaking in Hindi, none of the women tourists could decipher the offensive content of his video. Rather, they ignorantly waved in the video.
In another video, Guru went beyond limits by approaching a couple and saying that the woman tourist was his wife. He said, "Guys, she is my wife. He is my brother-in-law. How do you guys like him? My brother-in-law."
