New Zealand’s Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern, who got hold of the office for the second term, signalled wedding bells. Ardern is engaged to TV host Clarke Gayford and is planning to get married to him. Although, the date or time when the couple will exchange the wedding vows is not anytime soon.
In an interview at New Plymouth, Ardern said, "We have some plans; they are some way off. We might need to share some of our plans with our family and friends before we do that more widely," as reported by nzherald
Ardern got engaged to Gayford during Easter last year. The couple also has a 2-year-old daughter named Neve. Earlier Ardern had said that she wouldn’t marry before the general elections.

Ardern has made her mark as the youngest and third female Prime Minister of New Zealand. Moreover, she has been globally recognised for her commendable leadership in containing the pandemic in the country. Her strategic plans and leadership played a crucial role in containing COVID-19 pandemic in New Zealand. In fact, the country became one of the first countries in the world to see a dip in the number of COVID-19 cases reported daily and to ease the lockdown. Another victory that has made her name popular in every discussion is her re-election as New Zealand’s Prime Minister for the second term. Ardern is also being appreciated for her new cabinet which “incredibly diverse” on the basis of gender and ethnicity. “They collectively represent a range of different perspectives, huge talent, enormous experience and, as you would expect in any time of crisis, a huge commitment to serving this country,” 40-year-old Ardern said.
