Jabalpur woman dies: A woman in Jabalpur ends her life after her 22-year-old brother allegedly beheaded her husband and walked into a police station.
The accused opposed his sister's marriage with his brother-in-law. On Thursday, the man from Madhya Pradesh walked to the police station with the severed head.
Jabalpur police superintendent Ravi Chauhan said that, on Monday, the deceased’s brother called her to his residence to inform her that they were ready to accept the marriage. The woman was at her parent’s place when she learned her brother allegedly murdered her brother with an axe.
After not being able to handle the trauma, the woman dies by suicide as she hanged herself from the ceiling fan.
According to Hindustan times, the police is probing the case to confirm if the woman's death was a result of suicide or murder.
Reportedly, the couple got married around two months back. Later, they left their respective homes which led to the family members of the woman lodging a complaint with the police.
“The family members lodged a police complaint... On February 26, ... appeared before the police and said that they had got married. ...’s family accepted the woman. But the woman’s family was unhappy with their marriage due to an old animosity between the families,” said Chauhan.
