Carol Maltesi, also known by her stage name Charlotte Angie, was reportedly murdered in Brescia, Italy while taping sex videos. She was 26 and had one child. Her dismembered remains were found on March 21, reports suggest, where they had been thrown off a mountain cliff. A 43-year-old man has been arrested in connection to Maltesi's death.

The accused, identified as one Davide Fontana, was a friend of Maltesi's, as per New York Post. He hammered her to death in January while filming some adult content with her. Following her death, he allegedly hacked her body to pieces and stored them in his freezer.
Fontana's name came up when Maltesi was reported missing after she failed to turn up for her job at a club. He subsequently confessed to killing her and earlier this week on March 29 was arrested on multiple counts, including homicide.

As quoted by NL Times, Fontana claimed that he was shooting two sex videos, violent in nature, with Maltesi when she died. The two "went up to the bedroom, where a lap dance pole is installed. I tied the girl's wrists to the pole with duct tape and a black plastic bag over her head," he said.
He claims to have proceeded to brutally assault her before cutting her throat. Reports suggest the disturbing incident was also filmed on his phone but have since been deleted. Forensic experts may be able to recover the lost footage.

Fontana, in a bid to throw people off the scent, reportedly maintained continuous activity on Maltesi's cell phone as well as paid her rent to keep up the ruse of her being alive. He lived in the same neighbourhood as the adult actor popular on OnlyFans. When investigation in the case began after Maltesi's death, he disposed of her bagged remains in Brescia.
NL Times reports that Maltesi's body was identified in March by journalist Andrea Tortelli after police released a description of her. He contacted his family to confirm her identity through pictures, following which, he approached police in Italy.
